Just watched that fascinating yet kind of disturbing documentary about the so-called "doosmday" which is supposed to be on december 21st, 2012.
I've heard about the maya calender ending on that specific day and that there are different assumptions on what this could mean for the world and took it for a funny story. Interesting yet a little scary if you actually believe in the world ending on that day - which in my case would mean that I'd never turn 30 years old, um okay, not tooo bad then.
Anyways, after watching this film - where several "scientists" not only talk about the maya calender, oracles and prophecies but also a certain planet constellation which is actually happening on that day (and only does so every 28.500 years) and could possibly mean a "pole-swift", causing natural desasters - I tried to find some sort of scientific debate on this topic. But all I could find where private blogs and esoteric assumptions... quite disappointing.
Anybody out there, who had more luck on finding some interesting "truths"?
And also: what do you think? Is the world ending or severly changing in 4 years, 7 months and 3 days?
